Admissions

The Governing Body of St. Anthony’s is the Admissions Authority for the School. The criteria for admissions reflect the nature of the foundation of the School by the Sisters of Mercy who are the trustees of St. Anthony’s, admitting Catholic girls, and where places are available girls of other faiths.
The agreed Admission Number for Year 7 in St. Anthony’s for 2008 is 210.
Separate arrangements for admission to Year 12 (Sixth Form) are available from the School.
Each year Sunderland L.A. invites Parents/Carers to express preferences for the schools of their choice. If Parents/Carers choose St. Anthony’s their forms will be forwarded to the School for consideration by the Governors who will allocate places on an equal preference basis strictly according to the criteria presented below.
Girls who have a statement naming St. Anthony’s will be offered a place.
