Exam Results 2009
Another successful year for St. Anthony’s students at all key stages. At A level 70% of all entries were awarded A, B or C grades and there were 100% pass rates in twenty two out of twenty six A level subjects.
At KS4 80% of students achieved 5 or more A* - C grades and 30% of all entries were graded A*/A, 58% A*/A/B with 100% pass rates in twenty eight out of thirty subjects. Results in our core curriculum were very strong with 73% of students achieving A* - C in English, 62% A* - C in Mathematics, 70% of students A* - C in two Science subjects, 93% of students achieving A* - C in Technology, 63% of students obtaining A* - C in a Modern Foreign Language and 83% in R.E. Girls of all abilities had achieved excellent outcomes with 93% of students achieving Level 2 in Functional English and Mathematics (equivalent to grade B at G.C.S.E.).
These results form a firm foundation for post-16 education and training, University entrance and employment. Grateful thanks to students, staff, parents and governors for their continued support.
A level Results 2008
Students of all abilities have achieved well. Three quarters of all students achieved four or more A levels.
22% of passes were at A grade, 43% at A/B grade and 67% at A/B/C.
Thirty students achieved between two and six A grades at A level and entrance to a huge variety of courses at a wide range of universities including the prestigious Russell Group (including Oxford and Cambridge). We are delighted with results across all twenty five subject areas. The vast majority of girls have achieved their first choice University place. One in four students at St. Anthony's achieved an offer of a place at the prestigious Russell Group of uiversities, inlcuding Oxford and Cambridge, due to their academic achievement and their wide ranging extra and extended curricular interests.
KS4 Results 2008
The quality of results at both A level and GCSE is exceptional this year. Our GCSE results are equivalent to ten grade B's per student.
80% of 218 candidates at St. Anthony's achieved 5 or more A* - C grades.
72% of candidates achieved 5 or more A* - C grades including English and Mathematics.
27.25% of all passes were at A* or A grade, significantly above national averages.
Our rigorous, academic KS4 curriculum provides an excellent platform for post-16 study and university entrance.
