During the summer term we surveyed all students, parents and staff.  Thank you for everyone who replied.  An independent firm who undertook the statistical anlaysis has returned the summary analysis and over fifty pages of detailed analysis for each of the three surveys.

14/Sep/2007 - EXTENDED SCHOOLS INFORMATION

The government’s ‘Every Child Matters’ initiative requires schools to provide a ‘safe place to be’ for children from 8am to 6pm.  This is especially important for younger secondary school children and those of working parents.  In response St Anthony’s has designed a daily programme of activities which will be available to all students. 

14/Sep/2007 - Hair we Go!!!

A group of Year 10 students have started a new and exciting City and Guilds Salon Services Course at Hylton Red House School.  The course takes place on Thursday evenings, 4.00 – 7.00 and is taught by a professional hair and beauty expert who is herself the owner of one of Sunderland’s most prestigious salons.

The school was founded by the Sisters of Mercy during the 19th century and has a fundamental commitment to high quality girls’ education in a Christian environment.  In 2004 the school celebrated it’s centenary as a secondary school with sixth form.  Currently thirty three subjects are offered at advanced level.
