Extra Curricular
Our dedicated PE staff run a wide variety of extra curriculum activities at lunchtime and after school.
This gives the opportunity for girls to reach very high standards and compete at county, regional and national level. Many girls have represented the school internationally both here and abroad.
At lunchtime all age groups have the opportunity to participate in dance, swimming, trampoline, netball, aqua-aerobics, fitness, hockey, rounders, basketball, football, athletics and tennis, whilst after school the following activities take place: hockey, netball, badminton, competition training, athletics and tennis.
Pupils also enjoy a wide range of extra-curricular activities and perform in many sports at national and international level.
There are very high participation rates in sporting and other extended curricular activities. The school has the Sports Mark Award.
A variety of sporting, cultural and educational visits both in this country and abroad are available to students as well as an extensive summer school programme for students transferring from Y6 and KS3 pupils which takes place during the first week of the summer holidays each year.
Pupils are encouraged to be active citizens and take part in local events and activities as well as compete in local and national competitions.
Pupils use the opportunity to undertake study during lunchtime and after school in their varied curriculum areas.
Any regional, national and international studies and sporting visits are undertaken annually. |
